Madison County Schools have announced Dr. Nason Lollar as the next principal of Germantown Middle School.

District officials made the announcement on Friday, March 28, district spokes woman Gene Wright said.

Madison County Schools Superintendent Ted Poore said Lollar is a familiar face in the district. He served most recently as lead principal at the Madison Career and Technical Center.

“Dr. Lollar is an outstanding administrator who has a proven track record of dedication to excellence. We know Germantown Middle School will thrive under his leadership,” Poore said.

Previously, Lollar served as an assistant principal at Germantown High School, Wright said.

Lollar brings to this lead administrator position more than two decades of experience in education as a classroom teacher, coach, and administrator.

“The opportunity to serve as Principal of Germantown Middle School is an honor for which I am truly grateful. I’m so excited to work alongside our amazing students, faculty, staff, and parents to reach an even higher standard of excellence in the Maverick Zone," Lollar said.

Lollar’s accolades as an administrator include recognition as the 2023 Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals’ Assistant Principal of the Year, Wright said. In 2024, Dr. Lollar became a published author of “The Five Principles of Educator Professionalism.” Wright said the book “serves as a roadmap for educators and school leaders to build a culture of dedication, trust, and excellence in schools.”

Since its publication, the book has guided professional development sessions and book studies for administrators throughout Mississippi, Wright said.

Germantown Middle School serves 1,021 students in grades six through eight in the Germantown Zone of Madison County Schools. The A-rated campus is known for strong academics, arts, and athletics.

According to Wright, Dr. Lollar earned his bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and Education Specialist in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College, and he earned his Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from William Carey University. He and his wife Amanda, who serves as the school nurse at Velma Jackson High School, are proud parents of four children: Marin, Brandt, and Leighton are current students in the Maverick Zone, and Harrison graduated from Germantown High School in 2024.

Dr. Lollar will begin his new role this summer following the transition of current Germantown Middle School principal, Chris Perritt, to Madison County Schools’ central office as director of student affairs.
