Elizabeth Benton Keating has passed away due to natural causes, surrounded by her family, at age 85 on October 19, 2021, at Provision Care in Hattiesburg, MS. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and businesswoman.

She was born on Nov 17, 1935, in Charleston, SC to Baynard Benjamin Benton & Virginia White Ambler. She was predeceased by her parents and her beloved husband of 50 years, John Harty Keating. She is survived by her sisters Caroline Benton Brickley (James), Mary Marshall Banister-Tribble, and her brother Kenneth "Bogey" Glenn (Glenna). She is also survived by her loving children and in-laws Shawn Keating (Nancy), and Amber Keating Zielinski (Robert), as well as her much loved grandchildren Jonathan Harty Keating (Shravya), Colleen Keating Mallett (Philip), Benton Robert Zielinski (Nicole), and Cameron Keating Zielinski. She was an elder and active member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS, a committed member of the Lions Club of North Jackson, and enjoyed running her own business for many years called  Desktop Graphics until her retirement.

Her family will hold a memorial service at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS on November 20, 2021 with visitation at 1 pm, followed by the service at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, you can make gifts in her name to two of her favorite organizations, the Lion's Club of North Jackson or to Briarwood Presbyterian Church. Revelation 21:4 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
