David Michael “Mike” Hardin
Mike was born to Alfred and Carolyn Hardin on March 14, 1953 in Jackson, Ms.
He went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 28, 2025 after a brief illness.
He was surrounded by his wife Debbie, his son Wesley and daughter-in-law Kim.
Mike grew up in South Jackson and attended McCluer Academy, Hinds Jr. College and Mississippi College. He was an Eagle Scout. He joined the Army between high school and Jr. college. He was honorably discharged after his service when he came home and completed his education.
He worked for Brown Bottling Group for 29 years where he was VP of Operations. He then worked for Safety Kleen/Clean Harbors for 8 years as Branch Manager. He retired and worked for Hertz part time until 2020.
He was Scout Master of Wesley’s troop and was so proud all of his Scouts achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.
In his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his two young grandsons. Watching them play baseball and T-ball and taking trips to the beach with them.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He attended First Baptist Madison.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Debbie, son Wesley, daughter-in-law Kim, grandsons Easton and Beckett. He is also survived by his brothers Tom (Christi), Andy (Donna), sister-in-law Dianne Swanson (Scott) and four nieces and two nephews.
A Celebration of Life was held on March 7. A private memorial will be held in June.
