DAR honors Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler

On Jan. 20, The Rebecca Cravat Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was honored to award Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler with a Women in American History Award.
The Mayor is serving her 11th term in office, which makes her one of two women in the country to have served as Mayor for over four decades.
That is quite an historical achievement, and represents the best of women in America. Pictured are Julia Hodges, Mayor Mary Hawkins Butler and Dot Ward.
