Clues sought in fatal Reunion horse shootings

Two horses were shot at the Reunion Horse Stables around Christmas Day.

Madison Police responded to The Reunion Horse Stables, 515 Gluckstadt Road, to a report of two horses being shot.

One of the horses succumbed to its injuries on scene, and one was taken to a local veterinary clinic and is expected to make a recovery, MPD said in a Facebook post.

Investigators believe the shootings occurred between the hours of 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 and 7:30 a.m. on Dec. 25.
