Citizens National Bank opening branch

A Citizens National Bank branch is set to open off Calhoun Station Parkway here, across the street from Sullivan’s Marketplace, pending city approval.

The designs feature a bank branch building with both front and rear entrances, as well as a drive-through lane that can accommodate two vehicles simultaneously.

The site plan for the 3,804-square-foot building was approved unanimously on Tuesday evening by the Planning and Zoning Commission.

Kayce Saik, a commission member, said she was “excited” about what Citizens was bringing to the city. 

It was noted that the building went through a number of revisions before it could receive proper approval this week.

Saik said the latest design “went above and beyond” to accommodate the city’s ordinances and design criteria.

“This is well appreciated by the city,” Saik said.

Other comments by city officials during the meeting said it was “a very nice looking building” and “goes well” with the design criteria of the area.

The site plan will be presented to the Gluckstadt Mayor and Board of Aldermen for final approval at a future meeting.
