Cities to host Veterans Day ceremonies

Congressman Michael Guest and former Congressman Gregg Harper are on tap to speak at the Madison and Ridgeland Veteran Day ceremony’s respectively on Monday.

Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11.

Madison will hold their observance ceremony at 10 a.m. at Strawberry Patch Park at 271 St. Augustine Drive at 10 a.m. Rep. Michael guest will be the special guest and speaker.

In Ridgeland, the ceremony will be held outside of City Hall in the Veterans Memory Park at 11 a.m. Ridgeland City Hall is located at 100 West School Street.

The Veterans Day Ceremony includes keynote remarks by Congressman Gregg Harper as well as remarks and a welcome by Mayor Gene McGee and Colonel John McCollum.

 Presentation of Colors will be by the Ridgeland High School AFJROTC Color Guard and the ceremony will feature music by the Ridgeland High School Choir and Joanne Bell.
