Christmas on Main in Madison
The City of Madison is having their Hometown Holiday Christmas on Main event on Dec. 1 on Main Street.
During this event, the city will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Christmas village put out in front of the caboose every year with a service at 5:15 p.m. followed by a Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:30 p.m.
After the tree lighting, attendees can enjoy a showing of “The Polar Express” at 6 p.m. on Main Street, weather permitting. If the weather is not cooperating, the movie will be shown in the Madison Square Center for the Arts gym. Hot cocoa and popcorn will be served along with pizza provided by Pizza Shack. It is a free event for all, and attendees are encouraged to bring pajamas and blankets.
