Madison County Schools is proud to announce Mrs. Crystal Chase as the next principal of Ridgeland High School. With nineteen years of experience in the Titan Zone as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Old Town Middle School, Chase is steeped in Ridgeland Titan pride and a natural fit to serve at the high school level.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Ridgeland High School,” says Chase, “It has been twenty years since the school opened its doors, and I am excited to celebrate the past accomplishments while promoting a culture of excellence that will lead to success for all students.”

As an educational leader, Chase has shared her knowledge via numerous professional development trainings and conference presentations and has received top recognition for her work. In 2018, she was named the Mississippi Association of Secondary School Principals’ Middle School Principal of the Year and in 2019 was recognized as Madison County Schools’ District Administrator of the Year. Chase brings her expertise to RHS, which has a track record of excellence in academics, arts, and athletics. The school boasts a World-Championship level robotics program, an Academy of Engineering, and Madison County Schools’ only Academy of Culinary Arts. The debate program brings home numerous wins, the choir and band programs consistently receive All-Superior ratings, and Titan athletes succeed on the court and field, regularly making appearances in post-season competition.

“Ridgeland High School will continue to flourish and rise to new heights of excellence with Mrs. Chase’s leadership,” says Madison County Schools Superintendent Charlotte Seals, “Mrs. Chase is completely devoted to the students and faculty of Madison County and the Titan Zone. She is a wise and thoughtful leader with a heart for service and commitment to the highest standards.”

“Being in a position to create new opportunities for the Titan Zone and Ridgeland High School generates excitement and causes me to enthusiastically say, ‘It’s a Great Day to be a Titan!’” exclaims Chase.

Mrs. Chase is an active member of her church community where she serves as a Sunday school teacher and member of the choir. She and her husband are proud parents to three sons, the youngest of whom is a sophomore at Ridgeland High School. Chase will begin her new role at RHS effective July 1, 2022.
