Congratulations, Canton High Tiger Basketball standout Lazamion McGruder signs with Holmes Community College in Goodman. His family, mother Latoya Banks, Father Ezell McGruder, and grandmother Earnestine McGruder are elated.They are proud Lazamion received a scholarship to continue his basketball career while pursuing a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Athletic Training.The talented Team Captain and three-year Letterman averaged 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals per game. W-O-W! He also made the 2020-2021 First Team All-District 3-5A.He is also an accomplished member of the CHS Track team. He is a 3-5A District Champion, recently winning First Place in High Jumps.Lazamion says he is excited about his bright future and can't wait to excite more crowds with his slam dunks! Go Tigers!
