Brewer appointed branch president
Robert J. Barnes, President and CEO of PriorityOne Bank, recently announced the promotion of Valerie Brewer to Branch Manager at the bank’s Ridgeland location.
“Valerie leads with passion, purpose, and a genuine commitment to our customers and team,” Barnes said. “Her leadership, community involvement, and positive outlook make her an excellent fit for this role, and we’re excited to see her thrive as Branch Manager.”
Brewer joined PriorityOne Bank with prior experience at The Citizens Bank of Philadelphia and Mutual Credit Union. She has held several key positions within the bank, including Personal Banker, Universal Banker, and Financial Officer. She has also earned a Principles of Banking Certificate of Completion through the Mississippi Bankers Association.
She is a member of Old King Solomon Baptist Church and a member of the PriorityOne Bank Blue Ribbon Society, a peer-to-peer recognition program that spotlights and rewards employees for meeting and exceeding the standards of exceptional service. Brewer was recently named a Diplomat with the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce and, along with her family, has volunteered with WeWillGo, a nonprofit organization in Jackson.
She lives in Ridgeland with her husband of ten years, Derrick Brewer. They have five children: Zaquaris, Devin, Zakia, Zaria, and Mashunti. In their free time, the Brewers enjoy fishing, traveling, and attending parades and concerts.
“PriorityOne Bank has been the most fulfilling job experience of my career,” Brewer said.” I truly appreciate the company culture and direction, and I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues each day—we genuinely have an excellent team.”
