Bozeman Road closing for Reunion work

A portion of Bozeman Road will be closed nightly, starting early next month, for resurfacing near the intersection with Reunion Parkway.

The resurfacing project is scheduled to commence from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night, starting Monday, June 2, and will run through June 6.

The closed portion will extend north from the intersection with Reunion Parkway to just before the entrance to Madison Heights Church, and will close to the south, just north of the intersection with Elizabeth Avenue.

A portion of the Reunion Parkway will also be closed, extending to the West, but will still allow for access to the Parkway Church parking lot at the intersection.

The project is being handled for Madison County by the Hemphill Construction Company, based out of Florence.

The project was originally set to start on Wednesday, May 28, and extend through May 3. Hemphill officials said the project had to be rescheduled, “due to recent rainfall and ongoing wet conditions.”

The change was officially announced on Wednesday morning by the company.
