Matt A. Baldridge of Baldridge Law Firm, PLLC located in Madison, has been elected to represent the 20th Circuit Court District on the Mississippi Bar Association's Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners governs the Mississippi Bar and commissioners work to help the Bar achieve its obligations to members of the Bar and to the citizens of Mississippi.

Matt said "I'm honored to be chosen to fill this important role, and I look forward to doing my part to ensure the Mississippi Bar maintains a reputation for promoting the highest levels of professionalism and ethics in the legal profession."

One area of particular interest to Matt is working to expand services for indigent litigants. Speaking on that issue, Matt said "in recent years, the Mississippi Bar has made it a priority to create more access to our legal system for pro se litigants and/or people who cannot afford to pay for the services of a lawyer. As a commissioner, I will be able to continue that work and I am actively looking to see how we can expand services to those in need."

Matt graduated from Mississippi College School of Law in 2007 and opened Baldridge Law Firm, PLLC in 2010, where he focuses on Family Law, Estate Planning and Small Business Law. Matt lives in Madison with his wife, Kristian, and their four children: McKaylen, Kensley, Matthew and Myles.
