Aldermen OK furniture store renovation
The former Gamble Chiropractic Clinic on Highway 51 in Ridgeland will soon be transformed into a furniture store with a new exterior coat of paint.

RIDGELAND — A furniture store will get a new paint job after receiving the go-ahead from the city board.
The Ridgeland Mayor and Board of Aldermen unanimously approved an architectural review application for J. Allen Furniture to paint their building located at 555 Highway 51. It was formerly the Gamble Chiropractic Clinic and is referred to as “The Gamble Building” by city officials.
Community Development Director Alan Hart said that he worked with the store to ensure that the look of the new building would receive board approval.
“I think we have a good trim color. It will be much more modern and the look of the building will be improved,” Hart said.
The item was unanimously approved by the Architectural Review Board on Sept. 8 as well.
