Aldermen green light oil change center
A Take 5 Oil Change has been approved near Red Oak Plantation.

A new Take 5 Oil Change is slated for the south side of Gluckstadt Road just east of the Red Oak Plantation subdivision.
Building Official William Hall presented the site plan to aldermen at their regular meeting on Tuesday, March 11.
Hall noted that the garage doors of the bays would not face Gluckstadt Road and that the landscape plan for the building exceeded the city’s minimum requirements.
Alderwoman-at-Large Lisa Williams asked if any noise issues were expected. Hall said the loudest piece of equipment would be an air compressor and he said that would be adequately shielded in the interior of the building.
Aldermen unanimously approved the site plan in a 5-0 vote. Alderman-at-Large Wesley Slay participated in the meeting by telephone.
