Aldermen approve site plan for Zaxby’s on G’stadt Road
A new Zaxby’s slated for the Gluckstadt Road exit moved one step closer to becoming a reality after a site plan was approved by aldermen.
The Zaxby’s is planned for the northwest corner of Business Park Drive and Gluckstadt Road.
The site plan for the roughly 2,905 square foot restaurant was approved unanimously at a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 11.
The board gave their approval on the condition a number of modifications are made to the site plan. These include modifications to the exterior colors and a modification to the style of the awnings on the building.
Building Official William Hall showed the board existing buildings in Vicksburg and Southaven said theirs would be modeled after those.
The board’s approval and modifications came based on a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Zaxby’s is a large fast-casual chain that specializes in chicken tenders and offers roughly a dozen sauces. The chain operates primarily in the Southern United States and has more than 900 locations.
The chicken chain has one other location in Madison County off of Grandview Boulevard in Madison.
