Accused drug dealer arrested with gun at Madison I-55 Shell

MADISON — A disturbance at the I-55 Shell here Saturday night led to the arrest of a Jackson felon on gun and drug charges.

At about 9:30 p.m., Madison Police responded to the Shell, 1859 Main Street, regarding a disturbance between a black male and three black females.

The black male exited a vehicle, failing to comply with officers, and fled on foot towards the interstate.

The fleeing man was identified as Kadarius Taylor, 30, of Jackson. He was apprehended by MPD moments later, not far from the Shell.

Taylor was found to have a large amount of marijuana, a stolen firearm out of Ridgeland, and two machine gun conversion devices.

Taylor was charged with possession with intent to distribute, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, two counts of possession of a machine gun conversion device, and disorderly conduct.

Taylor initially appeared in Madison Municipal Court, receiving a $5,001,000.00 bond. The case will be presented to District Attorney John “Bubba” Bramlett.
