Lost Rabbit developers hope to have a 40-slip marina ready by the end of March.

Caleb Cannon and Matt Mitchell have a multi-phase plan for the marina at the northern end of Lost Rabbit.

Phase I includes 40 covered slips and amenities like power, water and ice.

“We are working to get this project off the ground and moving forward,” Cannon said.

Cannon said that they have done no advertising outside of putting up a sign on the water at Lost Rabbit.

They already have half of their proposed slips leased. The slips will be 12' wide and 30' long.

The marina will be called The Marina @ Lost Rabbit. Cannon said that they are on schedule to start construction this month and hope to have construction completed by March 31.

Phase II will bring fuel right up to the water and more covered slips, as many as a hundred, including some for larger yachts.

“We are in negotiations about partnering in a general store and possibly a bar in phase two also,” Cannon said.

Father-son duo Sam and Todd Everett are also developers out at Lost Rabbit.

Sam Everett said that they are currently in the design, engineering and architecture phase of their general store, which they expect to partner with the marina by facilitating the sale of fuel.

The 15,000 square foot building will be three stories. The bottom story will be the general store with six “high-end condos” above.

“All of the condos will have a terrific view of the water,” Sam Everett said.

He said that they will likely have their project finished by the end of the year.
