2 arrested at motel after sting

A man and woman from Texas were arrested at a Ridgeland motel on prostitution and drug charges, authorities say. 

Accoridng to Ridgeland Police Lt. Brett Bertucci, Iceisis Faucette, 25, and Willie Holloway, 28, both of Houston, Texas, were both arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Faucette was also charged with solicitation of prostitution. 

Around 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 12, the Ridgeland Police Street Crimes Unit and Ridgeland Police Narcotics Detectives conducted an investigation into suspected prostitution being promoted from the Red Roof Inn on Adcock Street in Ridgeland, Bertucci said. 

Officers had previously encountered both Faucette and Holloway. 

“Officers learned that the couple was traveling from Texas to New York, and stopped at a local hotel in the area for the purpose of engaging in commercial sex acts,” Bertucci said. 

Through further investigative efforts, a search warrant was obtained for their hotel room, where other evidence related to the promotion of prostitution was obtained, along with approximately 11 grams of methamphetamine.
