Rose Clayton Cochran, wife of U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, died peacefully Friday morning in Ridgeland. She was 73. Mrs. Cochran had, for the past 14 years, lived at St. Catherine's Village in Madison, where she endured the long walk into the shadows of Alzheimer's disease and dementia.
