Randall Tucker appears to have won his bid to become the next Madison County Sheriff with a large margin of victory over his challenger Ted Smith.

Tucker defeated a large field in the Republican Primary back in August and current Ridgeland Police Chief Jimmy Houston in a runoff.

Other apparent winners include a landslide win for Ronnie McGehee in the Superintendent race against independent candidate Patrick L. Henderson.

Democratic incumbents District 4 Supervisor Karl Banks and District 5 Supervisor Paul Griffin appear to have won re-election over their Republican challengers.

In District 2 Republican Ronnie Lott easily defeated independent candidate Danny R. Chandler.

In the District 4 Justice Court Judge race Republican Bruce McKinley has outdistanced Democrat Gigi Gibson to apparently win that race.

Results are still being tabulated. Certified results are not expected until sometime tomorrow.
