Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is the culinary headliner and will host his last show at 11 a.m. today, but an all-star cast joins him in the spotlight.

Rock n' Roll chef Nathan Lippy of Tampa and the Viking Cooking School of Ridgeland share the Friday spotlight.

Grant MacPherson of the Viking Commercial Division and P. Allen Smith of Little Rock are on tap Saturday with Luis Bruno of Hilton Jackson and Robert St. John of Hattiesburg's Purple Parrot Café to be featured Sunday.

Leaders of the Century Club Charities/Friends of Children's Hospital are hoping the Birdies for Charity program will exceed the $567,000 given to area charities a year ago.

Since 1968, more than $5.7 million has been contributed to charities across Mississippi.
The tournament, directed by Randy Watkins, is in its 43rd year.

It began as the Magnolia Classic at the Hattiesburg Country Club in 1968, became the Deposit Guaranty Golf Classic in 1986, moved to Annandale Golf Club in 1994, became the Southern Farm Bureau Classic in 1999 and has been the Viking Classic since 2007.

Outback Steakhouse hosted a Monday pro-arm while BankPlus hosted a Tuesday pro-am for juniors and a Wednesday pro-am.
