David Lane Dinkins
David Lane Dinkins, of Madison, July 11, 2016. He was born Dec. 3, 1944, in Jackson to Anne and Jack Dinkins. His families were from Canton and Flora where he loved spending time as a boy. Lane attended St. Andrews Day School, Bailey Jr. High School and graduated from Murrah High School, class of 1962.
Alice Hamil of Madison beloved mother, proud grandmother, determined follower of Jesus and devoted servant, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on July 11, 2016. Funeral services were held July 13 at First Baptist Church of Madison.
Alice was born in Canton, Mississippi, to Helen Speake McHenry and William Preston McHenry.
Janie Marshall Hughes
Janie Marshall Hughes passed away July 8, 2016 in Madison. She was born in Flora on January 12, 1934. She attended the University of Southern Mississippi.
Lenora Jane Mann
Lenora Jane Mann, 94, of Madison, died Monday, July 11, 2016. Private family services will be held at a later date. Lenora, or Janie as she was known by her family and friends, was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on August 22, 1921.
She graduated from Paseo High School in 1938 and then later attended Gulf Park College on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she graduated in 1941.
Henry Gordon Shamburger, of Madison, Retired Director of the Pastoral Care Department at Baptist Health Services died on July 14th at St. Catherine's Village in Madison. Chaplain Shamburger was born on Sept. 3, 1925, in Meridian, MS and graduated from Meridian High School. He served 3 years in the U.S. Navy during WWII and fought in the South Pacific.
Jacob Benjamin "JB" Sims
Jacob Benjamin Sims, Jr., 62, of Madison, died July 11, 2016. Born in Bay Springs, MS. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob Benjamin Sims, Sr., and his mother, Renee Lee Sims Thornton.
He is survived by his wife, and soulmate, Sara Ann Alexander Sims; they celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary in June.
Richard J. Thomas, 82, of Madison passed away on July 10th. Richard was born in Jackson, MS on December 3, 1933 to Sadie and Nick Thomas.
He graduated from Columbia Military School in Columbia, Tenn., and attended Ole Miss, but most importantly he was an avid Mississippi State Bulldogs fan. Richard married Faye Rankin and together they had five sons.
Clinton Cole Kirby
One could say that Cole Kirby lived his life to the absolute fullest. He enjoyed playing baseball, hunting, fishing and anything to do with spending time with friends and family in the outdoors.
Pamela Gail Anglin
Pamela Gail "Pam" Anglin, 59, of Canton died Saturday, July 9, 2016. Funeral services were held
Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Breeland Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the Canton Cemetery.
Barry Douglas Blaine, 63, passed away peacefully July 5, 2016.
Barry was an exceptional craftsman and a skilled woodworker.
His love for his trade shows in everything he built whether it was custom furniture or cabinetry.
