The Mississippi Brilla soccer team will remain in the Premier Development League's Southern Conference, but will make the move from the Southeast Division to the Mid-South Division in 2014.

The United States Soccer Leagues announced Brilla's 2014 schedule on Jan. 31. The club will play a 14-game regular season, including seven home matches at Arrow Field on the campus of Clinton High School.

After a down-year last season, Brilla expects to be back in the playoffs under second-year head coach Drew Courtney.

"We had become accustomed to playing in the postseason," Courtney said. "After a couple of years of just missing out, we are ready to return. We are looking forward to visiting the teams from the Mid-South Division. Several of them are our oldest friends in the league, and it will be fun to compete against them again."

The opening game of the season is set for 7 p.m. on May 17 at Clinton, where Brilla will play host to the Panama City Beach Pirates of the Southeastern Division. Other home matches include the Houston Dutch Lions on May 31, a pair of games against the Austin Aztex on June 5 and June 7, a match with the Midland/Odessa Sockers FC on June 27, another game against Houston on July 3 and the home finale against the Laredo Heat on July 5.
