Madison Central played the last game of Madison area schools with a 16-7 loss to Horn Lake in the North Half game last week. 

Led by 5-star linebacker Nakobe Dean, Horn Lake’s defense came to play, holding Madison Central under 200 total yards. Jimmy Holiday, junior quarterback for Madison Central, led the team with 89 passing yards and completed five of his 10 passes. He ran the ball 22 times for 49 yards and scored the lone Jaguar touchdown. 

Sophomore Duke Arnold ran the ball seven times for 15 yards. Junior Luke Robertson led the team in receiving with two catches for 66 yards.

On defense, Peyton Rea and Creek Robertson led the game with 14 tackles, Hayes Bufkin also had 13 tackles. 

Madison Central ends the season one game short of the state title game. They finish up the year 10-4 overall and 5-2 in district play. Horn Lake will play Oak Grove in the MHSAA 6A state title game.
