JACKSON - Belhaven University Baseball coach Hill Denson announced this week the addition of Josh Clarke to the coaching staff. Clarke returns to his alma mater and will serve the program as a pitching and catching coach while also serving as the recruiting coordinator.

"I am pleased to be able to bring Josh into our coaching staff," said Denson. "He was a great pitcher for Belhaven and he has developed into a good coach over the last couple of years. He has been through the program, which will be a big benefit as he understands the things we do as a program and the expectations, and that will help him coach and mentor our athletes."

A 2012 graduate of Belhaven, Clarke played two seasons under Denson. Clarke helped the Blazers to a 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference Championship with 10 saves, third most in a single season in BU history.

He returns to Belhaven after serving as the Assistant Baseball Coach at Madison Central High School for the 2013-14 academic year. Clarke coached the outfield and pitchers, while also teaching government and economics.

After graduation from Belhaven, Clarke was named the Assistant Baseball Coach at Hillcrest Christian School, where he also served as a teacher for one year.

Josh is married to the former MariGrace DeLoach of Clinton, where the couple currently resides.
