William C. Duckworth, 94, of Madison, MS, died Thursday, April 4, 2013. Services were held Monday, April 8, 2013, in Magee, with burial at Magee City Cemetery.

Mr. Duckworth loved his family and was faithful to his wife, Elaine Myers who preceded him in death. He served his country honorably in World War II. He was a dedicated employee of Bell South. He was a devoted Dad, Grandfather, and Great-grandfather. He was a loyal and trusted servant to God, his family, his country, and his vast number of friends.

Mr. Duckworth is survived by his three sons: William Duckworth of Lumberton; Dr. James Duckworth of Huntsville, Ala.; and Ronald Duckworth of Madison; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; His brother is Hugh Duckworth of Mt. Olive. He was preceded in death by his parents Enoch James and Lura Burns Duckworth; brother, Cecil, Leonard, Kenneth, Winston, and Irl Duckworth and sister, Dorothy Ferguson. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Jackson and Hillcrest Baptist of Byram.
