Marion Lucille Walber, nee Weitekamp, of Madison died Wednesday, April 9, 2014.

A Mass of Christian Burial and interment will be held in West Bend, Wisconsin and also a memorial service at St. Catherine's Village Chapel later this month.

Born to the late Leo and Lucille Weitekamp on Aug. 21, 1924, in Raymond, Ill., she was raised on the family farm with 7 brothers and sisters. Marion moved to Milwaukee, Wisc. in 1958 to pursue her secretarial career. Marion worked in the West Bend, Wisconsin public school system for many years as a teaching assistant for disabled students. Marion and her husband were active in parish activities at St. Frances Cabrini and, later, Holy Angels Catholic Church, as well as the Knights of Columbus.

In 2008 Al and Marion moved to St. Catherine's Village in Madison to be near family.

She is survived by her husband, Al Walber, daughters LeAnn (Luke) Nealey of Ridgeland, and Jean (Jeff) Opitz of Saukville, Wisconsin; two grandchildren; three siblings and four sisters-in-law, as well as many other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to Villa Angela, Springfield, IL or Gallant Hearts Guide Dog Center.
