Douglas O. Draper, of Madison, died Monday, April 1, 2013. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was the son of the late Eleanor and Hollis O. Draper. Doug earned both B.S. and Ph.D degrees from the University of Tennessee.

He was a Fellow of the Association of State & Provincial Psychology Boards, member of the American Psychological Association and the Mississippi Psychological Association.

Through out his professional career, Doug held various positions on the Mississippi Board of Psychological Examiners and was a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry (Psychology) at UMC. Having a private practice of psychology in Jackson for over 40 years.

He is survived by his wife Vesta Bogen Draper; daughter, Nicole Draper of Singapore; son Mark Draper of Williamstown, Massachusetts; his wife's children Todd Carter and Trey Carter; six grandchildren. Services were held Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Wright & Fergurson, Highland Colony Pkwy.
