Bethany Stockett Boone, 76, died peacefully at home on April 14, surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband, Howard; son, Chris (Beth); daughter, Beth Brown (Steve), all of Madison; grandchildren Carley Boone Corbin (Seth) of Birmingham, Bailey Boone, and Ian Brown of Madison, and Ben Brown of Colorado Springs; brothers Richard Stockett, Jr (Carol) and Marvin Stockett (Pat), and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. The daughter of Richard C. Stockett, Sr. and Beth Enochs Stockett, Bethany grew up in the Belhaven area of Jackson. She attended the Jackson Public Schools and was a member of the first graduating class of Murrah High School in 1958.

She attended Millsaps College and later transferred to be with the love of her life, Howard, graduating from the University of MS in 1962. She was a Chi Omega and was named the Dream Girl of Pi Kappa Alpha.. Bethany was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church for nearly 50 years, serving in countless roles.

She was active in MS Methodist Cursillo. Funeral services were held on April 18 at Christ United Methodist Church with burial in Parkway Memorial Cemetery Ridgeland.
