 Line Dancing

Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering a Line Dancing Class every Monday evening.   Advanced Line Dancing Class will meet at 5 p.m. – 5:55 p.m.  Beginners Line Dancing will begin at 6-7 p.m. Classes will be held at the Ridgeland Recreational Center located at Old Trace Park. Association’s Mid-Mississippi

Chapter Meeting

The Natchez Trace Parkway Association’s Mid-Mississippi Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 6:30 p.m., at the Mississippi Craft Center, 950 Rice Road, Ridgeland, MS in the Harbor View Room.  Light refreshments will be available starting at 5:30 p.m.  Natchez Trace Parkway Superintendent, Mary Risser; Tony Turnbow, President of the Natchez Trace Parkway Association (NTPA); and Bryant Boswell, Chairman of the Mid-Mississippi Chapter of NTPA will provide updates and future activities. The NTPA partners with the National Park Service on various projects along the 444 miles of the Parkway.  You will have a chance to see the work that has taken place on the Old Trace behind the Craft Center. The Public is welcomed to attend the meeting.

The Rembert Washington Memorial Chorale will be celebrating our 20th Year Anniversary on Sunday, April 30, 2017 @ 3:00 pm.  This celebration will be taking place at Priestley Chapel M.B. Church located at 177 Virililia Road in Canton, MS.  Please come and join us as we celebrate the past 20 years of ministry through song that God has blessed us with to spread His Word.

Beginning Basic and Intermediate

Oil Painting Class

Ridgeland Recreation & Parks is offering a Beginning Basic & Intermediate Oil Painting class beginning on Thursday, May 11 – June 1, 2017, 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. The class is being held at the Ridgeland Recreation Center, located at Old Trace Park.  Instruction will be given on painting a still life from a live set-up.   Lyn Isonhood is your instructor.   As a classically trained artist, Lyn has been painting professionally for 15 years.  To see examples of Lyn’s work, visit www.lynisonhood.com.   Cost of the class is $65(non-refundable).  Register now for this class!  Class size is limited.   Call Lynda at (601) 856-6876 or email:   lynda.assink @ridgelandms.org to register and receive a list of supplies needed to take the class.
