Once Upon A Fairytale: A Mother Daughter Princess Tea is an event raising awareness for adoption in the world. This year, the event is presented by Ergon, Exmark, and Regional Enterprises. This special event will take place on Sunday, Oct. 9, at The South Warehouse on East Silas Brown Street in Jackson. The tea, intended for mothers and their young daughters to attend together, will help raise money for Eagle’s Nest Children’s Home in Guatemala to send its residents to school.

Jenny Blount, the founder of Once Upon A Fairytale, says she has always had a special place in her heart for adoption. “God used adoption to build our family and it has been one of the biggest blessings in my life,” says Blount. After adopting her little one, Blount became very aware of the need to care for children in other countries where adoptions are not possible. “International adoptions are closed in Guatemala, so in most cases, the children at Eagle’s Nest will live there until they turn 18. A solid education is incredibly valuable in preparing them for adulthood,” says Blount. “The goal of our event is to raise enough money to send every child at Eagle’s Nest to school for an entire year!”

The event will feature ten live fairytale princesses mingling with the guests while they enjoy tea or lemonade and a three course afternoon tea menu provided by Fresh Cut Catering. Additional entertainment will be provided by Ballet Magnificat!. The Followell FOTOBOOTH will also be available for mommy and me photos.

In addition to the tea, a limited number of spots will be available for a boutique event prior to the tea where junior guests can have their hair and makeup done by professionals. A boutique appointment costs an additional $15 per guest.

The seatings for the tea are at 1:00 p.m. and at 4:00 p.m. and fairytale costumes are encouraged! Tickets to the tea are $25 per person. Limited VIP seating is available.
