RIDGELAND — Aldermen approved site plans and a conditional use permit that will put Audi, Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships in motion on Sunnybrook Road next to Patty Peck Honda.

A conditional use permit for the proposed dealerships to operate in a district zoned C-4 went before the city board with little discussion or fanfare last Tuesday before the Thanksgiving holiday and received unanimous approval.

Upon approving the conditional use permit, aldermen then quickly and unanimously approved site plans and architectural review for the dealerships.

A highlight of the submitted drawings included a request for a variance on parking spacing in their inventory area.

The dealership had previously received unanimous approval from the city’s Architectural Review Board.

Ridgeland aldermen in November 2017 voted 4-3 to approve $2.3 million in tax increment financing for the dealerships, expected to be a $20 million investment by the Ritchie Group in Ridgeland.

The site is expected to be made up of two adjacent dealerships, each about 20,000 square feet. Each will produce approximately 55 jobs with an average annual salary of $60,000.
