The Veritas School in Ridgeland is celebrating its 15th year and plans an anniversary gala.

At 6 p.m. on April 21, the school is hosting The Veritas School Showcase that includes dinner, performances by students, and a presentation on the school.

"When we began The Veritas School 15 years ago we wanted to create something new - a place where students, families, teachers and staff could work together to equip a new generation of Christian leaders to think and live Biblically," Stuart Clarke, an original founder and member of the school board, said. "That's what Veritas is still doing today."

He added, "We're filling a need in the Jackson-metro area. It's exciting to see what has grown up in the last 15 years, and we look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries of classical Christian education."

Clarke, along with a small group of families, started the school in 1998.

To reserve a seat for the upcoming showcase, RSVP by April 18 by calling the school at (601) 713-1555. The event is free.
