A trial date on sex charges has been set for Dec. 2 for former WLBT meteorologist Eric Law.
Law was arrested by Madison police on March 7 and later charged with two counts of sexual battery and two counts of gratification of lust involving a girl under the age of 16.
Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest said Law may be looking at 90 years in prison if found guilty and given the maximum sentence on each county.
Guest declined to comment further on the case as it heads to trial.
Law, who remains out on a $200,000 bond, was arrested only two days after Rankin County law enforcement officials gave Madison police information that alleges Law was communicating with a minor via Facebook messages.
Law, 32, is alleged to have been engaging in sexual intercourse with the minor on multiple occasions and this took place at his Madison home on Belle Rose Circle.
According to the police report, the victim denoted the room where the acts took place as the "law and order room." A trial was first scheduled for July but later continued after a request by Law's defense attorney.
