Services for David Bradley Taggart, 21, will be held Friday, July 13, 2012, at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Madison at 11 a.m.

Visitation will be Thursday in the Chapel at Broadmoor Baptist Church from 5 p.m., until 8 p.m.

The worship service in celebration of Brad's life will be held in the Worship Center at Broadmoor, 1531 Highland Colony Parkway.

Taggart had finished his junior year as a business major at The University of Mississippi. He died Tuesday at home in Madison.

He the son of Madison attorney Andy Taggart and his wife Karen. His brothers Drew and Rob are both currently enrolled in graduate programs at Ole Miss in law and business respectively.

Andy Taggart is a frequent contributing writer for the Madison County Journal, author and political observer. He was chief of staff for the late Gov. Kirk Fordice and is a former Madison County Supervisor.

"To lose a student is very painful to the university," Dean of Students Sparky Reardon said, the student newspaper The Daily Mississippian reported. "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, especially his brother Drew, who was Associated Student Body president during his time here. We're thinking and praying for them."

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial gifts be considered in Brad's honor made to the General Fund of Mississippi College, 200 S. Capitol Street, Clinton, MS 39056, or the Mississippi Baptist Health Foundation, 1225 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39202.
