Madison's Mary Hawkins-Butler takes landslide victory for 9th consecutive term

MADISON - Unofficial totals in the Madison mayor's race show Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler with 4,600 votes to John Bell Crosby's 1,420. That's a 77-23% victory for a 9th consecutive term.
Mayor Madison Mayor Mary Hawkins-Butler arriving at her victory party tonight at Hearts of Madison. She won a 9th consecutive term with more than 70 percent of the vote, unofficial returns show.
About 400 absentee and affidavit ballots total remained to be counted.
