The Nutcracker

Ballet Mississippi is presenting two full-length performances of The Nutcracker on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson exclusively for school groups.

Forgotten Carols

Madison the City will be presenting the Forgotten Carols Christmas program on at 7 p.m. following the annual Christmas Parade which begins at 9 a.m. and will last until 11 a.m. The "Forgotten Carols" will be held at Ridgecrest Baptist Church and all of the proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Mason Wilbanks, Walker Kelly and Sam Clayton Kelly Memorial Scholarship Funds.

The "Forgotten Carols" musical, with its message of Hope and Redemption, is coming to the southeast again the 2012 holiday season.

After a successful 2011 tour, the musical is already booked for performances in six major cities with plans for at least eight more. Lead roles are performed by Broadway actors, while local choirs perform all choral parts, making the musical a real community event.
