Madison and Rankin Counties' District Attorney Michael Guest announced this week that his office has launched its updated interactive website that focuses on the Top Twelve Most Wanted Criminals in both Madison and Rankin Counties.

The Top Twelve highlights criminals who have failed to appear for court and have outstanding indictments or warrants for their arrest.

This program is being done in conjunction with Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker and Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey.

"The Top Twelve Most Wanted has been successful in bringing dozens of criminals to justice," Guest said.

"By highlighting this program on our website we hope to bring more criminals back into the criminal system where they belong.

"Madison County Sheriff Randy Tucker and Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey have been outstanding partners with this program and have strengthened the program as we have moved forward. It is projects like this, where we can partner together to fight crime, that the community is best served," he said.

The website, www.daguest. com, is linked to the Mississippi sex offender registry and the public can use it to identify convicted sex offenders that are residing in our community.

The site also provides information for those who are victims of crime, serves as a library for community news and provide information to local merchants about the District Attorney's bad check unit.

"This website will serve as an interactive tool so the public can work with the DA's office," Guest said.

"The website, along with our smartphone app, Facebook and Twitter allows us to update the public on the successful prosecutions of the District Attorney's Office and allows us to seek the public's help in capturing fugitives who are on the run.

"Social media has become an important tool for the DA's office and we are committed to working with the community to see that they stay informed."
