From the silver screen to the golden tones of his voice over the air, Frank Sinatra was one of the most captivating performers of the 20th century. “Old Blue Eyes” collaborated with some of the greatest musicians of all time including Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Dean Martin and the Rat Pack. Winner of multiple awards, an Oscar and Golden Globes, the “Chairman of the Board” is still beloved! Join vocalist Peter Lake, Frank’s “Shadow,” recounting moments that shaped the man who brought us “New York, New York,” “The Way You Look Tonight,” and “Come Fly with Me.”

Art and Coffee at

Museum of Art

Visit with Triana Davis, a participant in the Jeffrey Gibson artist residency facilitated by the Center for Art & Public Exchange, which will result in a new video artwork unveiled this fall titled “WonderLust” Saturday at the Mississippi Museum of Art beginning at 10 a.m., in downtown Jackson.

Art and Coffee is an opportunity to slow down with fellow art lovers in a casual morning learning space. This month, hear from Mississippians who recently participated in a groundbreaking art project with artist-in-residence Jeffrey Gibson, and get a sneak peek at "Jeffrey Gibson: Like A Hammer," which opens to the public September 8.

This event is free and open to the public. Art and Coffee occurs the first Saturday of every month. Coffee is served.
