JACKSON – Trustmark hosted a celebratory topping out ceremony last week for its new Fondren branch here. In attendance were local community leaders, architects, construction managers, contractors and Trustmark representatives. During the ceremony, guests signed a piece of structural steel that was installed near the top of the new office building now under construction and slated for completion in spring 2019.

“Today’s topping out ceremony fulfills another milestone in our commitment to position Trustmark as a true financial partner in our marketplace.  This unique building represents an exciting future for Trustmark, Fondren and the Jackson market,” Ben Aldridge, Hinds County President of Trustmark stated.

Cooke Douglass Farr Lemons Architects & Engineers, designers of the Fondren office, took special care to ensure the building, which will be located at the corner of Old Canton Road and Duling Avenue, would mirror the architectural fabric of its historic surroundings.

“This is a very customer-centric building as it showcases a spacious community room and balcony for use during special events in Fondren.  The historic Fondren district is one of the most dynamic areas in Hinds County, and our new Trustmark Fondren office represents our continued commitment to our partnership with the community of Jackson,” Bernard Bridges, Jackson President of Trustmark stated.

Before the final beam was lifted to the highest point in the building at the close of the ceremony, Mr. Aldridge thanked the Yates Construction team who has devoted their time to this project. “We’re here to celebrate an important milestone,” Aldridge stated. “Even more so we’re here to say thank you to the contractors who are involved in the construction of the new Trustmark Fondren branch.”

Following the ceremony, Trustmark hosted a luncheon in honor of the Yates construction team and subcontractors as an expression of gratitude for their continued effort and diligence toward completion of the Trustmark Fondren office.
