Gluckstadt residents have prevailed in their incorporation litigation, an attorney representing the residents says.

“Long story short: G’stadt got everything we asked for except that portion of Panther Creek north of Stout Road,” said John P. Scanlon, the attorney, of the firm Mills, Scanlon, Dye & Pittman.

See the nearby map and, according to Scanlon, Canton only got Areas 1 and 2, but not Areas 3 and 5.

He said there was no portion of the annexation of Canton into the South Madison County Fire District known as the Gluckstadt Fire Department.
